Addressable systems require its protocol within the same range for smoke, heat, and either device. For example, in an Apollo system you will always recognize that XP95 cannot be within the same range for Orbis or Series 65. As a result, XP95 is an addressable system that requires its own range to be compatible within the whole system.
However, a conventional system doesn’t require the same protocol for any of its accessories. Smoke detectors or heat detectors from another brand can be equipped on the system. For example, we can completely install and different range of a system within various brands accordingly. It’s just requires a proper network installed.

A fire alarm system is a system that contains sirens with a flasher that sends signals when a fire occurs to alert existing people in the premises to clear the building. Moreover, the main aim of building or creating such systems is to alert and avoid fire hazards before it occurs. Likewise, when someone sees a fire in a building, he can use a manual call point to trigger the alarm.
Addressable and conventional.
An addressable fire alarm system is a system that depends on a group of devices connected on a loop addressed accordingly and separately. Furthermore, the addressable systems rely on addressing each device separately.
A conventional fire alarm system is a system that depends on separate zones, each group of devices on a zone. Furthermore, if a smoke detector is triggered, it will mention the zone triggered, but not the device itself.
